This policy describes what InTech Bookkeeping LLC ("InTech", "we") does with data from the QuickBooks Online companies connected to the InTech Bookkeeping Agent app, and with data from visitors to this website.

What we collect

QuickBooks Online data from the companies your firm connects: accounts, transactions, vendors, customers, bills, invoices, reports and the attachments the work needs.
Documents your firm or its clients send us, such as bank and card statements and payroll reports.
Login details for the team-member login your firm provides. They are kept in the Windows Credential Manager on InTech's computer. Its access log records which login was used and when, never the value.
Connection tokens that Intuit issues when your firm connects the app. They are kept in a configuration file on InTech's computer, with a copy in a private GitHub repository.

How we use it

Only to do the bookkeeping work your firm engages us for: clearing feeds, reconciling, preparing the close and the statements, and drafting client questions for your approval. We do not sell it. We do not use it for advertising.

Where it is processed

On computers InTech operates. Each firm's working data is kept in its own folder, and a process working for one firm is refused another firm's logins.
By the AI model providers that run the agents, currently Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (Codex). The agents send them the records they are working on.
By Intuit, through the QuickBooks Online API and website, where your books already live.
By GitHub, where copies of connection tokens and some working files are kept in private repositories.
By the email or portal your firm chooses for client questions.

How long we keep it

We keep a firm's working data while we work for that firm. After the engagement ends, we disconnect the app and delete the firm's working data within 30 days of a written request. Intuit's connection tokens stop working when your firm disconnects the app. Unused tokens also stop working when they expire.

Your choices

Disconnect the app at any time in QuickBooks Online, under Apps or the Intuit App Center.
Remove the team-member login at any time.
Ask what we hold for your firm, or ask us to delete it, at kirin@intech-bookkeeping.com.

This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs. If you email or call us, we use your message only to reply.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes.
