1. Who this covers
This agreement covers the InTech Bookkeeping Agent app and the service built on it, operated by InTech Bookkeeping LLC ("InTech", "we"). It applies to the bookkeeping or accounting firm, or the business, that connects a QuickBooks Online company to the app ("you"). If you do not agree, do not connect the app.
2. What the service does
InTech runs an AI agent fleet that does bookkeeping work in the QuickBooks Online companies you connect. The fleet runs on computers that InTech operates. Nothing is installed on your computers.
The fleet reads accounting data, such as accounts, transactions, vendors, customers and reports. It also writes to the books: it categorizes and matches bank and card transactions, records reconciliations and enters journal entries, within the approval rules your firm sets. Items outside those rules are held for a person at your firm.
3. How the app connects
The app connects through Intuit's OAuth 2.0 authorization. It requests the QuickBooks Online accounting scope. It requests the payroll scope only if your firm asks it to read payroll data. The fleet also works in the QuickBooks Online website through a team-member login your firm provides.
4. Your data
How we handle the data the app reads is described in our Privacy Policy at intech-bookkeeping.com/privacy/. In short, the data is processed on InTech's computers and by the AI model providers that run the agents, and it is used only to do the work for your firm.
5. Your firm's approvals
Your firm decides which kinds of entries may be posted without a person and which wait for review. Client questions are drafted for your approval, and only the kinds you name are sent without review.
6. Disconnecting
You can disconnect the app at any time in QuickBooks Online, under Apps or the Intuit App Center, and you can remove the team-member login at any time. Work already done in your books stays there.
7. Professional responsibility
InTech is not a CPA firm. The service prepares the books for your firm's review. Your firm makes every final determination and keeps professional responsibility for what goes to its clients.
8. No warranty
The service is provided as is. Automated work helps your firm's review. It does not replace it, and it may not find every error in a set of books. A signed service agreement between InTech and your firm takes precedence over this page where the two differ.
9. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
